Sigh.

What a day at work ! One of those days where each new email prompt in the inbox bodes ill, and each call holds the promise for another crisis. Where will this end ? Is it only me who is already looking forward to retirement, at the age of 29 ? or are there others like me ?
But on the other hand, its "Just another day in paradise" as Phil Collins sang. I do have a good job and a good income and a happy family and good health and so many other good things which I can list and thank god for.
Why then the tendency to brood over a bad day at work ? I guess it will always be a pressure situation at work. There is always lots of work to be done, lots of decisions to be made and lots of people management to do, and in the course of all this, one makes many decisions. Some are right, some are wrong and some are in the grey area. You can never be always right or the other way round, therefore you will get accolades for something you do, and blasted to kingdom come for others. Some days, the praise is more, others the blowups, just have to take it and go on.
*Oh.... think twice.... its just another day for you and me in paradise........*

Easier said than done dont you think ? There is always some or other problem at work, and I am not talking about small issues - always something major. I guess I would be a fool if I am waiting / expecting the "utopian" situation of everything perfect at work. But sometimes, it feels like its too much.
As of life beyond work.... hmmm.... let me think over it, and see what I can do about that.

I agree. Thats why i said "am trying".
Life is really frustrating almost all the time these days. Especially with the Oracle news doing its rounds. These days the day begins and ends with Driven, the book on BMW that drives me into the next day.

Que sera sera.
